Jolicloud 1.0 users, today we are releasing the upgrade to Jolicloud 1.1. We have taken the time to optimize this process to make sure it happens seamlessly for all of you. This upgrade will enable you to get all the benefits of Jolicloud 1.1 in just one click without having to reinstall your system. Of course, if you don’t have any local data or configuration to back up, you can also install Jolicloud 1.1 on the computer rather than doing an upgrade, it will be faster.

First of all, please make sure your Jolicloud 1.0 setup is up-to-date. When your computer is ready, the dialog below will automatically appear on your desktop. Before starting the upgrade, check that your computer is connected to the Internet and that you have at least 1GB of free space on your drive. You also need to plug the power adapter so you don’t run out of battery in the middle of the process.

When ready, just click on the ‘Upgrade’ button to start the process which should take approximately 1h30. You will see the following screen during the download and installation of the updates. You don’t have to do anything during the update process, so you can go out see a movie and come back to enjoy your Jolicloud 1.1.

When the process is complete, the computer will restart and the boot screen will indicate that you are now running Jolicloud 1.1.

Please note that the Asus Eee PC T91 touchscreen and the Intel GMA 500 video card are not fully supported with Jolicloud 1.1 yet, but we are actively working on an update coming very soon.
